Jet has decided! As for the cloth,, Galina doesn't care at this point.
Centcomm 18th Jul 2013, 10:29 PM edit delete reply

Yep - he has .. lets see what happens next :D
Stormwind13 18th Jul 2013, 10:36 PM edit delete reply

Outnumbered and outgunned. I think we used to call that reaction, STUPIDLY brave! :-D
Centcomm 18th Jul 2013, 10:47 PM edit delete reply

oh - How so? wondering who you are refering to :D
Stormwind13 18th Jul 2013, 11:16 PM edit delete reply

Jet blowing off the Good Captain like that. And those med techs look like they have the brawn to deal with feisty patients. Or anyone trying to get too close to their patient without being a doctor. :-)

Admittedly they probably won't do anything TOO permanent to him, but he is still stepping all over several protocols I think. And that probably doesn't make the Captain too happy.

And Jet appears to be either blissfully unaware of the fact or maybe he is just ready to tilt at windmills. :-)
Centcomm 18th Jul 2013, 11:24 PM edit delete reply

ah yes - hes also a bit in shock and reeling from what hes heard.
Stormwind13 19th Jul 2013, 12:06 AM edit delete reply

Sounds like he was coming back in balance in the last panel though. Galina's need made him push the shock aside (though he isn't over it, I'm sure).
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 12:11 AM edit delete reply

yep - the human drive to give comfort often overrides other emotions..
cattservant 19th Jul 2013, 9:08 AM edit delete reply

@Stormwind13:
I imagine the Captain's 'special stick' is hyper-bureaucratic right about now!
Tokyo Rose 19th Jul 2013, 1:21 AM edit delete reply

Note he didn't just yell "you can't do that!" like some petulant jackass. He's using points of law instead. If Gali's a human being, Cooper is her guardian. If Gali's *not* a human being, Cooper is effectively her owner-of-record. One does not steal another's property on Luna, regardless of security clearance or position, unless one is prepared to explain oneself to an airlock.
Stormwind13 19th Jul 2013, 8:41 AM edit delete reply

Yeah, another reason I don't 'feel' that he is in deep shock (yet). I mean, it probably will hit him at some point, but right now he is more on top of it.

People in shock tend to either shutdown or get hysterical. Sometimes both as the rollercoaster of emotions goes along.
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 11:34 AM edit delete reply

or they turn very detail oriented and work to "fix" the problem :D
Don B. 18th Jul 2013, 11:27 PM edit delete reply
Cloth is hard to do no matter what medium you are using. There are a lot of things to consider when depicting it. Panel one and three look just fine to me. Panel two looks a little crinkley but I think that actually depends on the thickness and stiffness of said cloth. In panel three it doesn't look all that thick so it could certainly look like that. On the whole, I'd say you did good because I don't think I would have noticed without your specific mention of the cloth.
Don B. 18th Jul 2013, 11:31 PM edit delete reply
Argh...panel one and four is what I should have said.

Centcomm 18th Jul 2013, 11:34 PM edit delete reply

its one of those cheap thin "emergency" sheets EMT's always seem to have that are thinner than a human hair >_<
cattservant 19th Jul 2013, 12:12 AM edit delete reply

Mr. Sebastian Edgewick is young but he is an Aristocrat when he is forced to fall back on his resources!
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 5:05 AM edit delete reply

yep couldnt agree more..
Stormwind13 19th Jul 2013, 8:44 AM edit delete reply

Good catch, Cat. He does seem to projecting that aura. I'm not sure if it is true Aristocrat or just well taught money.

I kind of think the latter myself, but we might find out (eventually). If the EVIL CentComm lets that cat out of bag. :-D
cattservant 19th Jul 2013, 9:15 AM edit delete reply

I think he could be a prince.

[No wonder it's so 'dark' in here!]
Stormwind13 19th Jul 2013, 10:41 AM edit delete reply

O_O Well, I guess we will wait and see who is closer to right there, Cat. :-D If we ever do! :-)
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 11:35 AM edit delete reply

oh many things will be revealed ...
next chapter esp is a BIGGIE
Sheela 19th Jul 2013, 2:28 PM edit delete reply

Well, considering how surprised the man on the Commline is at Sebastian managing to hide from him, it seems he's either ery good, or had the help of someone very good, at hiding him.

Which usually means good connections, like family.
Stormwind13 19th Jul 2013, 10:46 PM edit delete reply

Good point, but were they covering up his title or the fact he had more money than some countries operating budgets? :-) Either is plausible.

I haven't seen a valet or lackey around, and the aristocrats tended to have more trouble giving those up than the rich did, as I remember.

Of course, since Luna Star is set in the future, things could have changed. :-)
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 11:51 PM edit delete reply

Jets parents are scientists as well - Jet has a fairly low key life. but none of them are "famous" and other than Jets astounding academnic record hes unremarkable..
Stormwind13 20th Jul 2013, 12:03 AM edit delete reply

Let's see - Dr. Susan Calvin and Dr. Emil Lang possibly? :-D
Centcomm 20th Jul 2013, 12:28 AM edit delete reply

proably along those lines :D
Sheela 20th Jul 2013, 2:17 AM edit delete reply

ooOoohh ... the actress for Dr Susan Calvin is soooo pretty!

/envious

<You sure it's a man?>
Sheela 20th Jul 2013, 12:00 PM edit delete reply

I am not - But the speech pattern "feels" male.

Not sure if I can be more precise than that.
cattservant 20th Jul 2013, 12:14 PM edit delete reply

If you would like to, share your opinion about my Comment points on Comic 118 (18th Jul 2013, 10:37 AM).
Sheela 20th Jul 2013, 12:39 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, but if you remember my crazy story from .. ยจwaay back on datachasers .. I also linked the person you're indicating with multiple personalities, several of them which was male and fond of surfing porn. So the entity could be .. both male and female, in that particular case.

So there you have it. *makes sage nod while stuffing the pipe with salmon*
cattservant 20th Jul 2013, 1:02 PM edit delete reply

Could even be the Prototype!

[How do you keep it lit?!]
Sheela 20th Jul 2013, 1:06 PM edit delete reply

Could be, could be ! :)

And I use an Iridium Lake Fandom super DeLuxe micro-ramjet lighter. Once it superheats the fishoil in the salmon, it burns quite nicely. :)
cattservant 20th Jul 2013, 1:13 PM edit delete reply

It would go towards the vehement interest in Galina's well being.

[I hope the stem is well insulated!]
mjkj 19th Jul 2013, 4:56 AM edit delete reply

Awww, poor Galina.

Now that the adrenalin (or whatever substitutionary stuff was used) has worn off the pain kicks in...

*hugs and comforts Galina carefully*

I am glad Jet starts to take Galina's side and defend her. So, I wonder what Dr. Cooper will say when she sees her (and hears about that incident).

mjkj
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 5:04 AM edit delete reply

actually she uses Adrenalin same as humans. and yes now that all those lovely natural pain killers are wearing off shes getting the total inpact of her injury..

as for Dr Coopers reaction.. its coming - and yes Jet really does care :D
mjkj 19th Jul 2013, 6:14 AM edit delete reply

I just hope she gets something against the pain soon.

As for the blanket. It looks good to me, though the color and the contrast to the shadows is a bit too ... intense, if you tone it down a bit I believe it would just look right. Now it looks (especially in panel 2) a bit (gah, cannot find the English word) "grell" (German, best translation I have found is glaring, flamboyant, blinding or bright).
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 11:36 AM edit delete reply

yeah im still working out the kinks with it..>_< thanks for the compliments
mjkj 19th Jul 2013, 1:47 PM edit delete reply

you are welcome :)
Dragonrider 19th Jul 2013, 8:45 AM edit delete reply

Suggest Captain Stick-up-the-arse stand down until higher authority arrives.
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 11:36 AM edit delete reply

heheh.. :D
Dragonrider 19th Jul 2013, 10:34 PM edit delete reply

By Higher Authority I don't mean Captain Stick's boss, I'm referring to Galina's Guardian
Sheela 20th Jul 2013, 2:19 AM edit delete reply

Unfortunately, people with sticks up their arses are real bad at sitting down, relaxing, and waiting.

... the stick gets in the way.
markhossack 19th Jul 2013, 10:10 AM edit delete reply

Excellent work again! Really enjoying this one too.
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 11:36 AM edit delete reply

your very welcome - love your avatar!
LooeyQ 19th Jul 2013, 5:16 PM edit delete reply

*Phew* All caught up! Poor Galina!
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 11:49 PM edit delete reply

yay! - I know huh her life sucks right now..
LooeyQ 20th Jul 2013, 5:06 PM edit delete reply

For seriously!
mjkj 19th Jul 2013, 5:19 PM edit delete reply

Rank 92 at the moment :)
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 11:49 PM edit delete reply

YAY
highlander55 19th Jul 2013, 11:39 PM edit delete reply

Cent, another deep moment just thought about. Galina could be the "First Spark". At least for Earth. Sort of like VGER in ST#1 movie.
Centcomm 19th Jul 2013, 11:49 PM edit delete reply

Galina IS a "first" on several levels.. next chapter will actually answer a lot of these questions :D
highlander55 20th Jul 2013, 1:10 AM edit delete reply

Oh Crap! now have to wait until Tuesday for the next page. Bleah!
Centcomm 20th Jul 2013, 1:31 AM edit delete reply

monday actually.. or sunday at 9pm
anarcha 20th Jul 2013, 3:21 AM edit delete reply

This is your 'hand' page.;)
cattservant 20th Jul 2013, 1:19 PM edit delete reply

I'm strictly a "know it when I see it" type when it comes to art, but I've heard that hands are technically difficult.
highlander55 20th Jul 2013, 5:26 PM edit delete reply

So are feet, Just ask View. <snicker>
Centcomm 20th Jul 2013, 3:14 PM edit delete reply

I know huh! sooo many hands,,,, i actually hate hands ,, i never know what to do with em...and these poses look really dumb even though its totally realistic - ( trying to keep Gali from thrashing around without actually restraining her.. )
cattservant 20th Jul 2013, 4:20 PM edit delete reply

The power of suggestive restraint by directed distraction.
Stormwind13 21st Jul 2013, 4:06 PM edit delete reply

Well, you may HATE hands, but you've done this before elsewhere HANDS.

And you did a pretty good job both places, in my opinion. :-) They may be a pain to do, but you made them come out pretty good at least. :-)
Highlander55 20th Jul 2013, 10:59 PM edit delete reply
Tits and ass are looking damn good tho! Know what you spent time on to perfect.
Centcomm 21st Jul 2013, 2:36 AM edit delete reply

heh.. I never really thought about it :D
cattservant 21st Jul 2013, 6:40 AM edit delete reply

Perhaps a natural aptitude...
Highlander55 21st Jul 2013, 10:13 AM edit delete reply
Maybe only has to look in a mirror for details. :D
cattservant 21st Jul 2013, 11:33 AM edit delete reply

Or have the ability to get outside of one's self.
HIghlander55 21st Jul 2013, 2:13 PM edit delete reply
Spectral analysis?
cattservant 21st Jul 2013, 4:34 PM edit delete reply

Spectral analysis or astral projection!
Highlander55 21st Jul 2013, 4:43 PM edit delete reply
Astral projection usually happens in a prone position to allow the body to relax enough to allow the suppression of Beta waves and increase Alpha waves. Ergo- can't see her ass if she's laying on it. IF on her side- lets just say Gravity works!
