Dr Granger is quickly getting into the deep end of the swamp. Going to be attracting the gators real soon!
cattservant 21st Jan 2014, 12:13 AM edit delete reply

Some one should get Jet a catalog of chin straps.
Centcomm 21st Jan 2014, 3:03 PM edit delete reply

Ahhh for the inhibitor . well shes not supposed to be moving all that much..
Sheela 22nd Jan 2014, 2:26 AM edit delete reply

Yeah, this plan of biting him didn't pan out so well.

Though I bet it was oh-so-satisfying until the inhibitor came off. He definately deserved that. :)
Centcomm 22nd Jan 2014, 6:10 AM edit delete reply

Oh yes well she did tell him to let go several times :D
Stormwind13 22nd Jan 2014, 10:45 PM edit delete reply

Treat the person like a thing and get turned into plant food instead. :-)
Mayyday 21st Jan 2014, 12:30 AM edit delete reply

Uh oh, methinks the pain-relieving collar might have just broken. :(
Centcomm 21st Jan 2014, 3:03 PM edit delete reply

that would be ... bad.
Stormwind13 21st Jan 2014, 4:36 PM edit delete reply

Jet can cobble up another one though, Mayy. If there is any NEED to cobble one up... If Granger has his way there won't be anything left of Galina to suppress pain on. :-p
Dragonrider 21st Jan 2014, 12:35 AM edit delete reply

Well looks like Doc is finding it is painfully obvious, he isn't dealing with your garden club variety robot.
King Mir 21st Jan 2014, 6:32 AM edit delete reply
Wish he was. He's still thinking of her as a variant of his under-performing Amy.
Centcomm 21st Jan 2014, 3:04 PM edit delete reply

Yeah hes finding out gali is NOT your garden veriety bot :D I totally agree with this statement :D
jamie59 21st Jan 2014, 12:46 AM edit delete reply

Pain can be so mind numbing nothing else exists.
Centcomm 21st Jan 2014, 3:05 PM edit delete reply

Oh yeah.. Thats kinda what Gali has her entire world has been reduced to a single blast...
mjkj 21st Jan 2014, 12:58 AM edit delete reply

Awwwww, poor Galina...

I just hope May already found captain Kiku and they are about to enter...

*gives Galina back the collar, reattaches it and hugs her*

PS: it is 4:58 am here - early update? *going back to sleep*

Centcomm 21st Jan 2014, 3:06 PM edit delete reply

Gali cheers... Well hmm 4:58am for you,.. 8pm for me.. and 12 PM for the server .. time zones are WIERD !
mjkj 21st Jan 2014, 7:32 PM edit delete reply

Indeed - especially since the time zone for the LS server is one hour earlier than the time zone for the DC server :s

Have a friend that suffered 'white migraines' when he was young. The pain was so bad everything went white, couldn't see anything else. Couldn't hear anything because the pain drowned it out. Fortunately, he outgrew them. :-)
Centcomm 21st Jan 2014, 3:06 PM edit delete reply

yeah Migranes can be insane. soo horrible.
plymayer 21st Jan 2014, 1:43 AM edit delete reply

My brother was in a car accident years ago. There is hardly ever a day when he doesn't have a severe head ache. Don't know how he does it.

Some thing like this, with the pain supressor removed - must be like a waterfall of pain.
Centcomm 21st Jan 2014, 3:07 PM edit delete reply

eventually you just get used to a "level" of pain.. I have the same issue with my neck and back >_< there are good days and bad days.
Stormwind13 21st Jan 2014, 4:34 PM edit delete reply

I'm sorry you have trouble with your neck/back. That is no fun at all.
mjkj 22nd Jan 2014, 4:57 AM edit delete reply

Awww...

I am sorry to hear that.

I hope you will get better...

*hugs and comforts*

Some brain damage is being successfully treated with fish oil, because the kinds of fat in the oil is what the brain requires to build and repair itself. I don't know if it would help your brother, plymayer, but you can pass that along.
Centcomm 21st Jan 2014, 3:07 PM edit delete reply

Fish oil huh? very intresting..
cattservant 21st Jan 2014, 8:39 PM edit delete reply

Makes your coat all soft and shiny too.
Stormwind13 21st Jan 2014, 4:24 PM edit delete reply

As I understand it, you are better off getting the oil from the FISH though. Putting it into a pill seems to lose something, depending on the study from half to almost all of the benefits.

So if you can eat fish (I have a friend that is allergic to them) and stand the taste. Salmon, herring, tuna and mackerel are good sources of the fatty acids touted to do the most good. YRMV. :-)
Caley Tibbittz Collopy 21st Jan 2014, 3:49 PM edit delete reply

...aaand I'm caught up. CLEARLY this guy is not an a STNG fan, and would have no sympathy for the Data. He'd probably have just phasered all the Hortas if he'd been in Kirk's place. What an ugly bag of mostly water.

God, I love Star Trek.
Dragonrider 21st Jan 2014, 4:19 PM edit delete reply

Phasers didn't affect the Horta the were living Lava remember.
Stormwind13 21st Jan 2014, 4:33 PM edit delete reply

Actually that was the little belt phasers (phaser I). The big phaser pistols (phaser II) were effective to a reduced degree, which Spock improved upon by adjusting them to be more effective vs. silcon life-forms. So while they didn't evaporate the Horta, they still took a bite out her.
Dragonrider 21st Jan 2014, 8:30 PM edit delete reply

Thought Spock Mind Melded with them and they became miners for the colonists.
Tokyo Rose 21st Jan 2014, 8:35 PM edit delete reply

Only after the misunderstanding was resolved. I love Star Trek too. :D
Stormwind13 21st Jan 2014, 9:30 PM edit delete reply

"Devil In The Dark", good classic episode of Star Trek. :-)

Shatner claimed it was his favorite episode even. :-)
talantus 22nd Jan 2014, 4:39 AM edit delete reply
well that sucks for galina. truth to be told i understand why she bit him. when in a stressfull situation, logic is usually the first thing to go unless you have a contigency plan and you manage to keep your cool.
otherwise instinct or drilled in practice will kick in( in this case, bite the M***** f*****) kinda sucks for the pain killers... i didn`t catch that tough, did she over extend and detach itself or did granger accidentaly knock it off?
velvetsanity 22nd Jan 2014, 1:42 PM edit delete reply

The only thing holding it in place, from the looks of it, was the fact that she was laying on the bed. It looks like it fell off due to the forces of gravity.
mjkj 22nd Jan 2014, 5:20 PM edit delete reply

If you look in panel 1 and 2 you see dr. granger's hand next to it - so he could have "accidentally" knocked it down while being bit...

(...and he really deserved it.)

Centcomm 22nd Jan 2014, 7:09 PM edit delete reply

it was both Galina and Dr Granger , Granger was holding her pony tail to try and keep her still so he could find the port when she lunged the weight of the inductor and Grangers hand pushed it off it was staying by virtue of "skin friction" shes not really suppose to be sitting up and moving around like that.
Stormwind13 22nd Jan 2014, 10:21 PM edit delete reply

Yeah, I thought it might be a combination of things. When the doctor jerked his hand away, figured he pulled Galina's head up some... and that inductor was staying put only by no force acting to move it. That lunge and jerk provided more than enough force to (re-)move it... unfortunately.
