And also Kiku had NO choice in the runaround she was being sent on shes also been making sure that Galina's surgery was ready and making sure the right people are involved.
Everyone has been insanely busy.. but to Galina it took forever..

I have a tiny little tear of joy in my eye over all the compliments I seem to be getting in regards to "The Specialist's" vituperation. /bow, /bow :)

Also, what Gali is saying is the Google Translate version of this Russian Orthodox prayer:

"Visit me, Lord, and grant me strength to bear this sickness with which I am afflicted..."

Not sure I will have to check my dictionary and thesaurus of obscenities but I may have been introduced to some new ones tonight. Note that Doc wonder nuts carefully waited for permission to speak.
Stormwind13 11th Feb 2014, 12:18 AM edit delete reply

Well since Kiku told him she would, "...blow your allegedly intelligent head right off", if he spoke again without her permission, I really don't BLAME him. :-D
Fairportfan 11th Feb 2014, 3:57 AM edit delete reply

Heh. Reminds me of one of Phil Foglio's stories in his XXXenophile comic:

Guy tells one of the villain's minions "Move and you're dead! Now beat it!"

Sweating Minion: "Ah, sir, there is a logical inconsistency in that..."
Centcomm 11th Feb 2014, 12:24 AM edit delete reply

I was dieing when I read this page .. :D
Stormwind13 11th Feb 2014, 12:13 AM edit delete reply

Little disappointed that Captain Kiku didn't say please to Amy. Of course, she IS a Captain and orders flow even when they might not be totally appropriate.

Rose, great dialogue here. I was laughing at the 'Specialist' comments (not just giggling :-D). And wincing too. :-D

At least the 'Specialist' understands that some things are out of local agent's control. :-) Glad that Captain Kiku isn't going to get reamed for trying to do ALL her jobs. Some of which were cross-purpose to one another (guard Galina/get all the Doctors ready to operate on her).
Centcomm 11th Feb 2014, 12:25 AM edit delete reply

yeah sadly Kiku cant be everywhere at once..
cattservant 11th Feb 2014, 12:23 AM edit delete reply

I wonder how Amy comes to be informed about the care and operation of inductors?
I thought that was something that Jet had hurriedly assembled.
Centcomm 11th Feb 2014, 12:26 AM edit delete reply

it is .. she was there when he assembled it. and assisted him ( she can build things MUCH faster than he can .. ) its all jets idea amy just did the grunt work..
Stormwind13 11th Feb 2014, 12:35 AM edit delete reply

Interesting. Didn't realize she had helped him, I thought he had gotten the equipment sent to him and made it up in the elevator lobby there. :-)
Centcomm 11th Feb 2014, 12:38 AM edit delete reply

and it was Amy that brought it to him :D
giggles :D
cattservant 11th Feb 2014, 7:53 PM edit delete reply

An air tight explanation it is!
Dragonrider 11th Feb 2014, 12:24 AM edit delete reply

Whomever it was that did the basic programming on Rose was either: One sick SOB, Has a more extensive vocabulary of profanity than every DI I ever associated with combined, is a pervert that thought it would be funny to hear all that cursing for something that projected as a petite young woman or really wanted revenge for the attack on Pearl Harbor and thought a potty mouthed Japanese woman would disgrace the entire culture causing it to loose face on the world stage or all of the above combined.
Centcomm 11th Feb 2014, 12:27 AM edit delete reply

LOL! yep .. thats our rose.. :D
cattservant 11th Feb 2014, 12:30 AM edit delete reply

I think TR is, at her primal inception, a Chthonic Spirit.
Stormwind13 11th Feb 2014, 12:38 AM edit delete reply

LOL Tokyo Rose as Persephone, Cat? :-D
cattservant 11th Feb 2014, 12:45 AM edit delete reply

Dragonrider 11th Feb 2014, 12:51 AM edit delete reply

Cthulhu don't get much older, bigger and worse attitude. Wonder what rose would look like if Cthulhu popped through some day.
cattservant 11th Feb 2014, 1:00 AM edit delete reply

I could see her coming up into the Cave of El Castillo and becoming fascinated by humans and their technology.
Lurker 11th Feb 2014, 3:36 AM edit delete reply
I just figured she got bored & decided to read the archives of slashdot. Garbage in, garbage out, folks...

Sheela 11th Feb 2014, 8:17 AM edit delete reply

Heh, if we're going to add gods into the mix, Loki in a female avatar would be just like Tokyo Rose.
Dragonrider 11th Feb 2014, 10:34 PM edit delete reply

@Sheela as I recall Loki is a cross dresser at times.
Sheela 11th Feb 2014, 10:47 PM edit delete reply

Oh yes, isn't he just.

In fact, he's the mother of Sleipner, the eight legged horse.
Don B. 11th Feb 2014, 2:18 AM edit delete reply
Oy! Again with the profanities. That last bit of invective was quite something. I'll bet it goes on for quite a bit too...
Centcomm 11th Feb 2014, 8:02 PM edit delete reply

oh you have NO idea LOL !
jamie59 11th Feb 2014, 3:42 AM edit delete reply

I absolutely LOVE that last box of Rose's!!!
mjkj 11th Feb 2014, 5:34 AM edit delete reply

Oh, it is just the calibration that is off - it is not really broken.

*is relieved* I feared poor Galina would have to wait for a new one to be built...

*hugs Galina, May and Amy after the collar is fixed*

Sheela 11th Feb 2014, 8:18 AM edit delete reply

Hmm, I wonder what Galina is saying ?
cherub 11th Feb 2014, 9:40 AM edit delete reply

Check the Authors Notes at the top.
mjkj 11th Feb 2014, 10:58 AM edit delete reply

I was wondering that, too, until Rose posted it up there...
Sheela 11th Feb 2014, 2:55 PM edit delete reply

Ah, neat, didn't see that earlier.

I tried writing it into googles translator and all I got was something garbled about dotted coins or something like that.
Centcomm 11th Feb 2014, 8:03 PM edit delete reply

I dont know how Rose does the translations.. but i think they are awesome!
Johninaustin 11th Feb 2014, 1:03 PM edit delete reply
I'm wondering which Willy Wonka Rose has in mind. The Johnny Depp version would be REALLY scary.
Sheela 11th Feb 2014, 2:57 PM edit delete reply

The Johnny Depp version with a gaunt face and crazy eyes like a guy with a serious crack cocaine addiction!

aka. batshit crazy !
Centcomm 11th Feb 2014, 8:03 PM edit delete reply

yes he would be!
Dragonrider 11th Feb 2014, 3:55 PM edit delete reply

At this point I wish to state, after extensive research I did not learn any new profanities from the exposition in panel 4. I did however see some interesting uses of descriptive adjectives, and possible uses of nouns. The Grammar Nazi Police, will NOT be amused.
Centcomm 11th Feb 2014, 8:04 PM edit delete reply

hehe rose has a command of cursing that rivals .. anyone. :D
Stormwind13 12th Feb 2014, 10:49 PM edit delete reply

Watch it Rose, Sydney might come calling. She is 7th Dan in cursing... She has to earn 8th somehow. :-D
Antonious 11th Feb 2014, 8:23 PM edit delete reply

HOLY EFFING SHIT ROSE! Did you eat habanero sauced broken glass and rusty barbed wire for breakfast? I expected pissed and seeking heads to roll, but this sounds like you plan on creating brain limited clone copies of the people responsible, hooking them up to a device that accurately transfers ALL sensations experienced by the clones to the original, then proceed to torture the bodies in front of the original. Doing this until you are sure they will never ever be so stupid again. Well that or spend some quality time with a neuronic whip.
Dragonrider 11th Feb 2014, 10:31 PM edit delete reply

Antonious I LIKE the way you think, the Emperor has a place for you in Lord Vaders Suspect Questioning and Anti-Jedi Knight Unit.
Antonious 12th Feb 2014, 7:31 PM edit delete reply

I must confess the origin of the copy torture comes from a Sci-Fi story that I cannot remember the name of. In it a sociopathic killer was sentenced to death for each of the murders he had committed. To do this They created clones from the original person equal in number to the convictions. Then they executed him in the same manner as his victims while recording every moment from exiting his cell to death. After death he would wake up back in his cell with a complete memory of the execution. As each execution took place the memories of it were added to the previous executions. Additionally he was brain altered so that he could not disconnect from the experiences through madness.

Caley Tibbittz Collopy 16th Mar 2014, 2:16 AM edit delete reply

Mark_L_A 17th May 2015, 11:18 AM edit delete reply

Idea just popped into my head.

Is Maraiko's last name Kiku?
Centcomm 17th May 2015, 2:14 PM edit delete reply

Nope its Yukimura
Mark_L_A 17th May 2015, 6:48 PM edit delete reply

Ahhh The Captain Family name is Yukimura, as is Maraiko's. The Captains first name is Kiku. 900+ years, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

This bears more thought. :)
