I hope that OR is warmer than the ones I've been in. I hate to say it but that OR rig looks like it could be converted to BDSM play room or an interrogation chamber that would make Rose drool very easily. Why aren't May and The Captain in Gown and Mask? They are in the OR during a Procedure.
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 12:28 AM edit delete reply

This OR has two areas.. a gallery that runs around the actual work area. and a glassed in area that the machines / Doctors work in thus why May and the captain are not gowned.. :D also hair nets are not really needed due to the fact that the actual people are not really close enough to the open area.

They also dont want Gali moving dueing the work ..
jamie59 11th Mar 2014, 12:10 AM edit delete reply

That's an intresting operating setup you got there.
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 12:29 AM edit delete reply

i spent a ton of time working on this shot >_<
Dragonrider 11th Mar 2014, 12:33 AM edit delete reply

Despite my snarky comment about the conversion You Done Good~~Real Good. However if you are going to need an interrogation chamber for DC or this minor mods and you're ready to go.
velvetsanity 11th Mar 2014, 12:48 AM edit delete reply

It wouldn't surprise me if the set started out as a high-tech torture chamber
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 12:50 AM edit delete reply

Thank you Dragonrider ! :D

At velvet - hehe maaay be
Dragonrider 11th Mar 2014, 12:56 AM edit delete reply

@Velvet I think I've seen it not sure which of the two 3D sites I sometimes get stuff from it was.
velvetsanity 11th Mar 2014, 1:17 AM edit delete reply

I'm fairly sure I've seen it before myself, IIRC it's one of davo's. Don't quote me on that, though, I've looked at so much content over the last year or two that it's all blurred together in my head with only a couple of exceptions (primarily Team Dystopia's work-or the individual work of some of their members)
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 1:33 AM edit delete reply

this is all a mix of sets from Davo , 3DC and many many others ..some retextured and swapped out and modified :D
Caley Tibbittz Collopy 16th Mar 2014, 2:34 AM edit delete reply

The results have a very original and authentic feel to them, nicely done.
Vivocateur 11th Mar 2014, 12:41 AM edit delete reply

Aha!
I've seen your WIPs for this set :D
Very neat :)
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 12:51 AM edit delete reply

yep hopfully the final product looks good ! :D
Vivocateur 11th Mar 2014, 3:55 AM edit delete reply

Absolutely!
velvetsanity 11th Mar 2014, 11:14 AM edit delete reply

It looks incredible, actually. Very nice job :D
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 12:46 PM edit delete reply

Thank you *bows* :D
Stormwind13 11th Mar 2014, 7:20 PM edit delete reply

I have to add my congratulations on the appearance of the OR. I'm not fond of them, but you did a great job presenting the OR and care for Galina here. :-)

Can tell you spent a lot of time on it. Thank you for all your hard work, CentComm. :-)
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 10:57 PM edit delete reply

thank you that means a lot :D
Dragonrider 11th Mar 2014, 1:00 AM edit delete reply

Might we hope the Granger gets a turn in the OR for his arm and they run out of Happy Juice before they work on him?
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 12:47 PM edit delete reply

Geeeze..
Dragonrider 11th Mar 2014, 11:32 PM edit delete reply

Hey we don't like the S.O.B.
Don B. 12th Mar 2014, 11:21 AM edit delete reply
It's not like he's a sympathetic character.
Sheela 12th Mar 2014, 1:38 PM edit delete reply

Meanwhile, in a dark corner of the gallery, Dr Granger is taking a fuckton amount of notes for Rose. :D

Well, inbetween trying to improve the designs he see's before him. Offcourse, the fact that he has the mental capacity for doing both, isn't going to score points with Rose, but he just might improve some of his own designs.

Who knows, a future companion of Galina could come from his selfish hands .... in his dreams, at least.
cattservant 11th Mar 2014, 2:15 AM edit delete reply

Science marches on!

[The Captain is recruiting her cadre.]
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 12:47 PM edit delete reply

is she now? :D
cattservant 11th Mar 2014, 1:28 PM edit delete reply

Ms. Kotko's security is going to be a full time operation.
Timotheus 11th Mar 2014, 3:02 AM edit delete reply
Causing and alleviating pain often follows the same paths and uses the same tools. What differs is the intent behind the operators. The earliest torturers were often surgeons and dentists as well and considered equally skilled at both tasks.
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 12:48 PM edit delete reply

Sadly this is true .. and most .. "interrogators" had a excellent sense of Anatomy..
Dragonrider 11th Mar 2014, 11:35 PM edit delete reply

Don't make that statement past tense, keep it present tense. Now they teach classes on where to find the sensitive nerve junctions and where bruises won't show up etc.
mjkj 11th Mar 2014, 4:49 AM edit delete reply

Great one :D

...and yayy, Gali is getting better :)
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 12:49 PM edit delete reply

Yep yep! :D ( hugs will have to wait till shes off the table :D )
mjkj 12th Mar 2014, 12:31 AM edit delete reply

Yeah, I do not want to get in-between the tools and Galina...

*hugs May and Amy...*
Hornet 11th Mar 2014, 9:38 AM edit delete reply
Yeah the med bay is part chop shop.
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 12:49 PM edit delete reply

have you ever SEEN how scary a OR can look .. >_<
highlander55 11th Mar 2014, 8:16 PM edit delete reply

Especially after an operation.
Stormwind13 11th Mar 2014, 8:57 PM edit delete reply

Blood and less identifiable bits, the instruments covered in them. Some on the floor... Yeah, sometimes it would be VERY hard to tell the difference between an OR and a torture chamber. :-p
Hornet 11th Mar 2014, 10:55 PM edit delete reply
Only in video, but at least the tools are usually human sized.
Highlander55 11th Mar 2014, 10:09 PM edit delete reply
I take it Jet is not in view while this is going on to protect her modesty.
Centcomm 11th Mar 2014, 10:56 PM edit delete reply

jet does not currently have a direct LOS all he can really see is the robotic arms and stuff
Dragonrider 11th Mar 2014, 11:37 PM edit delete reply

Why do I get the feeling that Jett and May will be given some hand to hand and weapons instruction soon along with concealed carry permits.
Hornet 12th Mar 2014, 12:08 AM edit delete reply
Only if they're going on the ship to Jupiter, course would they really need it out there???
cattservant 12th Mar 2014, 4:33 AM edit delete reply

Saturn.
Sheela 12th Mar 2014, 1:32 PM edit delete reply

Interestingly, it seems to me that the Autodoc in the russians base might have been more advanced than the robots in the OR room here, using nano-clouds 'n' other advanced stuff.

Maybe the Autodoc was one of Dr. Kotko's recent experiments in modern AI ?
Now I think about it, the Autodoc might be another good "person" to have with them on the saturn spaceship.

Offcourse, they'd have to retrieve him first, while at the same time stay out of cable's reach in case he felt uppity and wanted to hit them. :D
Timotheus 12th Mar 2014, 3:12 PM edit delete reply
AutoDoc was primarily dealing with restoring tissue ruptures and micro-capillary systems in organic material. Areas in which nano-machines are designed to repair. It was also mostly surface damage, if you can consider lungs part of a body's surface.
AutoDoc was probably designed with depressurization accidents in mind, considering where it was installed, so with access to her "medical" files could deal with Galina's case. Neuro/electronic spinal surgery is slightly beyond it's range of capabilities.
Stormwind13 12th Mar 2014, 10:36 PM edit delete reply

I'm not as convinced of the limitations of the Russian Autodoc as you are, Timotheus. I'm pretty sure that it wasn't DESIGNED to handle major surgical work; however, as quickly as it was adapting to what it had to do on her the first time... Nevermind the fact that she was something that wasn't in its databanks... It did an INCREDIBLE job. I have to wonder if it could have adapted again and done the surgery required to get Galina mobile again if it had to. I wouldn't have bet AGAINST it at least. :-)
