In case it wasn't clear there was a outer door and a inner door the outer being the pale blue and the inner door the greenish metal ( stupid lack of movement..)
At CHK - well It could be the Crians -- they installed the Terraformers that helped clean up the planet so yuo actually do have a couple of choices for first contact :D
There are a few peeps here who dont read DC though or may have missed that reference :D ( unlike a certain Marvel mutant comic you dont need to read both comics to enjoy the other :D :D
Hilariously, when I first saw that panel, I also had the "wait is that water?" impression. One of the reasons why Gali's even saying that the floor is hard and smooth--I was trying to avoid confusing anybody. :D
I really don't see that, Living materials growing on the artificial manufactured structure I can see. Kind of like someone using a beanpole to hold up the plants in their vegetable garden.
Yayy nothing hostile jumped out immediately! That's usually a good sign. I really want to believe along with Gali that they aren't hostile.
Given what the waves cause, if the waves are a form of communication in addition to the weird language...maybe they're some kind of empath-driven species that communicates via that frequency?
Anyway, I love the framing on this page. And wow that floor is very shiny. :) I thought it was liquid at first as well. GO GALI! :D
Im hoping Gali doesn't get jumped on by anything Hostile eather .. heck it could be 8 foot tall grey skinned giants with sharp teeth :D ( go check out Black Gate If your curious :D
To me it bears a strong resemblance to the Wizard's palace in the Emerald City. And the floor is a sort of yellowish green. I suppose we'll know if she encounters a bell rope with a sign that says "Bell Broken, Please Knock."
I like the idea that the ship itself could be something like a giant Coral reef, with lots of "fishies" and plants living in it.
I admit i was a sucker for that game.
Heck, I think the last game I played with real actors in it was Wing Commander IV ... which was way back in 1996 !
You've already blown us away with first contact imagery that's equal too or better than anything done in any visual media....
and we haven't gotten to the REALLY COOL stuff yet?
It looks great from the inside - especially the shiny floor...
one step
deeper in
your second heartbeat
Really hoping it's friendly and not hungry...
