Avi is the distilled essence of ALL your Doctors, rolled into one being. So he is REALLY going to try and make sure you all survive.

And I still hear Avi's lines in DeForest Kelley's voice (Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy) :D

I don't get it! He has never ONCE said "He's Dead, Jim", or "He's Dying, Jim", or even "That will kill him, Jim"!

I am 66 years old. I have been eating sweet sugary stuff my whole life. My mother gave me the same warning. My wife is from Asia and never had sweets growing up and does not like it. Well, guess what? I am not Type 2 diabetic and my wife is. So that whole story of eating sweets causes type 2 diabetes is NONSENSE. No study has shown that to be true. Along with the idea that sugar causes kids to be hyperactive. So stop pedaling nonsense.

Ouch.. you do realize this was done as tongue in cheek Humor .. It was a gift for a art trade. I thought it was funny medical veracity is not always needed for Humor.

It absolutely is a fact, if you consume too much sugar you increase the risk of developing diabetes. And no, it won't affect everyone, just like not everyone who smokes will develop cancer, but you increase the risk. And some people will develop cancer who have never smoked.
I'm diabetic as well.

Will avoiding chocolate help you to live longer? Maybe not, but it will sure seem longer!

I wholeheartedly agree. This is where GOOD dark chocolate comes to play. There are an incredible number of antioxidants and other "good" chemicals (that I'm too lazy to look up ATM) that actually make it healthy (in moderation). Try a square of Lindt dark chocolate with chili pepper and a glass of a BIG red wine (Cabernet, Merlot, Shiraz) or 70%+ dark chocolate with sea salt. It will change your mind on the stuff you eat with a normal candy bar...

Just checked on the Internet and found an article that said that although no studies have shown a direct link between sugar consumption and type 2 diabetes, excess sugar consumption does lead to obesity which has been linked to diabetes. So I am right, but in a sense, you are also right.

And yes I know it is for humor and who really cares, but sometimes one gets tired of hearing four elements, astrology claims, and other myths. My last post.
