Galina-butt to the rescue ! >_<

Saving the world with cheesecake. :)
Haegan2005 30th Jun 2015, 12:10 AM edit delete reply

Cent would call it "Dramatic Camera Positioning!"
Sheela 30th Jun 2015, 12:13 AM edit delete reply

Oh, is that what the kids call it nowadays ?

Don't get me wrong though, it's a very nice butt, I like it. :)
jamie59 30th Jun 2015, 12:16 AM edit delete reply

Or glorious hemispheres.
Kitty 30th Jun 2015, 10:38 PM edit delete reply
I call it gratuitous. Galina is far too cool to be shown with a DC/Marvel twist.
Tokyo Rose 30th Jun 2015, 1:34 AM edit delete reply

To give you an idea of just how true the alt-text is, I never even noticed the Gali ass-shot. This falls squarely into, yes, dramatic camera positioning, not fanservice. (As noted on one of the DC pages, Cent and I have some very strenuous conversations about fanservice-y shots. Particularly when it comes to Galina.)
Sleel 30th Jun 2015, 3:44 AM edit delete reply

I never noticed either, till it was mentioned. Which I find very odd, seeing as a well shaped posterior is something I greatly appreciate and usually goes right to the top of my attn span.
sigpig 30th Jun 2015, 7:48 AM edit delete reply

"Particularly when it comes to Galina.)" Especially considering the designated/perceived/built-in age of her character. IIRC, she is at a permanent -developed- age of somewhere between 15-17 Earth-years old, and that is at the icky end of "fanservice" poses. That is why I was a -little- taken aback when I first saw the rendering of her space suit; but I didn't want to say anything back then, as I was still binge-reading (I think) and new to CF as a whole.
highlander55 30th Jun 2015, 8:32 AM edit delete reply

Great graphics Cent.
and Yes,it is a great butt pose.
Centcomm 30th Jun 2015, 10:28 AM edit delete reply

On the note of butt shots.. I honestly wasnt even thinking of fan service when I did these I was pointing the camera at the beacon .. and letting Gali move "though the scene" and this is how the shots fell .. this was not meant as fan service and looking back at it I really cant see how i could have shot it better Sorry
sigpig 30th Jun 2015, 11:08 AM edit delete reply

My comment wasn't meant as a criticism Centy, and I agree, there really IS no other way Gali could move through the scene...
Centcomm 30th Jun 2015, 11:57 AM edit delete reply

I didn't take it as criticism .. besides my skin is pretty thick on that note .. as it should be for any artist that wants to keep reaching higher Unlike a lot of webcomics ive never considered myself Perfect :D
velvetsanity 30th Jun 2015, 1:43 PM edit delete reply

By that last bit I'm guessing you mean all the other daz/poser comics, the ones that have been running for years and *still* look like they're being made by an absolute beginner? :P
Centcomm 30th Jun 2015, 1:55 PM edit delete reply

wasnt really thinking of that,... but it fits I guess :D
Sleel 30th Jun 2015, 4:13 PM edit delete reply

Well, then the camera angle worked. Or the glow. Cause the orb what what had my attn most of the time, juxtaposed with the tower.
Sheela 30th Jun 2015, 5:19 PM edit delete reply

It's a good page, no doubt.

I don't even know why it struck me as funny .. I guess I was a bit overtired at the time I posted it.
But, fuck it, I still think it's funny that here we have the impending dramatic climax coming, and the first post is "Galina-butt!". :D
Lukkai 30th Jun 2015, 8:27 PM edit delete reply

If it helps: Me too, I never even noticed the butt-shot until reading the comments. The awesomness this page is reaking of had me completely distracted.
anonymous coward 30th Jun 2015, 8:53 PM edit delete reply
Honestly, the 'cheesecake' value of butt-shots goes down when the model's wearing clothing that looks like dirty tire treads. I'm not saying it's impossible to try and make someone wearing intentionally-ugly overalls pose sexy, but if it is possible I'd imagine it takes a fair degree of intention to manage it.
Falanin 4th Jul 2015, 12:19 PM edit delete reply
Wasn't the first thing I noticed wither, but that non-slip tread really brings out the curves onve you're staring at it.

Noet to self: lren to typr beter.
DLKmusic 30th Jun 2015, 1:36 AM edit delete reply

Is it wrong that my mind's ear is hearing "Ode to Joy" in the background?
Centcomm 30th Jun 2015, 10:29 AM edit delete reply

Nope :D not the music I was listening to but thats ok :D
This is what i was listening to The suns gone wibbly Doctor Who at 0.42 ... :D
Tokyo Rose 30th Jun 2015, 8:46 PM edit delete reply

Strangely enough, the Ninth Symphony is exactly what I was thinking of while writing this sequence. Just take the usual chorus for "Ode to Joy" and multiply it by several orders of magnitude.
DLKmusic 30th Jun 2015, 8:59 PM edit delete reply

Seems fitting! Beethoven is suitably epic for a scene like this!
Mark_L_A 30th Jun 2015, 1:38 AM edit delete reply

So the Epiphytes are using relay to transmit a signal 180 degrees opposite of the Beacon's signal to cancel it out.

And no comment on the camera angle.

velvetsanity 30th Jun 2015, 2:09 AM edit delete reply

Yay white noise! :D
Centcomm 30th Jun 2015, 10:33 AM edit delete reply

There are several things happening here .. the Epiphytes are locking on to the relay and transmitting TO Galina to shield her from the worst of it. before it blasts her to bits.
plymayer 30th Jun 2015, 2:07 AM edit delete reply

You go gal.
Centcomm 30th Jun 2015, 10:33 AM edit delete reply

Yep shes doing her best !
chk 30th Jun 2015, 10:23 AM edit delete reply

When did she fall in love?
Centcomm 30th Jun 2015, 10:33 AM edit delete reply

With Jet .. quite a while back :D
chk 30th Jun 2015, 5:06 PM edit delete reply

I must awaken mineself and re-read some stuff. I knew he was hot for her, but I thought she was rather indifferent.
Sheela 30th Jun 2015, 5:20 PM edit delete reply

... how could you miss that ?
Guest 30th Jun 2015, 9:32 PM edit delete reply
It's only a couple of pages. Look to The Sun.
Tokyo Rose 30th Jun 2015, 8:48 PM edit delete reply

They, ahem, consummated their relationship back on the "Luna Star", even. :)
chk 30th Jun 2015, 9:46 PM edit delete reply

OK. Got it. Last August. I'll try to pay more attention.
Matt Knab 30th Jun 2015, 10:58 AM edit delete reply

Too bad no one's here to get footage of this epicness. XD
Centcomm 30th Jun 2015, 11:58 AM edit delete reply

I know right.. well on second thought the systems on board the Homeship are seeing it. and every single Epiphyte is now a part of this scene though her.
Sheela 30th Jun 2015, 5:20 PM edit delete reply

Galina has a large audience!
mjkj 30th Jun 2015, 4:58 PM edit delete reply

Yayyyy, go Gali!!!
Stormwind13 30th Jun 2015, 8:48 PM edit delete reply

Sounds like she has banished doubt and summoned DETERMINATION. Now to see if those can carry her to success. :-)

And I'm with Rose. Those SFX are AWESOME. Great job, CentComm. Take a bow. :-)
