Hornet 13th Sep 2012, 9:36 AM edit delete reply
Guess the only replyu I have to that is: As long as they're talking they're not throwing her out an airlock. :?
Centcomm 13th Sep 2012, 10:21 AM edit delete reply

This is so true, :D

cattservant 13th Sep 2012, 12:49 AM edit delete reply

That's just an adult thing Galina.
Centcomm 13th Sep 2012, 1:55 AM edit delete reply

Galina - pfft .. I can talk like a adult too ..
dpallee 13th Sep 2012, 1:11 AM edit delete reply

Yeah, they should have asked her input.
Centcomm 13th Sep 2012, 1:55 AM edit delete reply

This is getting to be a pet peeve of Galina's .. :D
cattservant 13th Sep 2012, 7:43 PM edit delete reply

Won't the her 'Peeve' be jealous of EDICT when he comes back?
Centcomm 13th Sep 2012, 11:33 PM edit delete reply

Oh? how so?
cattservant 14th Sep 2012, 12:59 AM edit delete reply

If her Peeve is her pet then it will probably feel neglected when Galina pays attention to EDICT.
Centcomm 14th Sep 2012, 1:01 AM edit delete reply

hahah good one :D
cattservant 14th Sep 2012, 1:15 AM edit delete reply

Of course that depends on whether the Peeve is more of a canine or a feline temperament.
cattservant 14th Sep 2012, 1:37 AM edit delete reply

Here is a possible example.
plymayer 13th Sep 2012, 1:26 AM edit delete reply

I don't mind "grown ups" talking in front of me. It does bug me is when they talk about me in front of me like I'm not there. (I'm 47 physically; mentally? Let's just say I'm slipping)
Centcomm 13th Sep 2012, 1:57 AM edit delete reply

Oh yeah ... thats rude period. human or andriod.
wright1 13th Sep 2012, 1:02 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, the whole talking over / around thing, while the subject of conversation is right there, is dang rude. One thing Galli will probably find out though, is that if you're considered inconsequential, people often treat you as invisible. Then they say (sometimes even do)things that can be very interesting and useful to know...
Centcomm 13th Sep 2012, 1:15 PM edit delete reply

Right now shes just getting annoyed for putting up with this so much esp when this conversation is potentionally VERY important to her well being .. :P
Sleel 15th Sep 2012, 11:43 AM edit delete reply
Well, when you have two people trying to decide if they should treat a "machine" as just a fancy computer or as another sentient being, kinda hard to fault them for talking about it the same way I would my computer to a friend. Course, I can say that. But I fall farrrrr in the "a sentient is a sentient regardless of the packaging" camp. Biology and shape is irrelevant to me.
velvetsanity 12th Jun 2013, 11:03 AM edit delete reply

Sentience is completely different from sapience. Edict for example, is clearly sentient yet apparently sapience is limited, if present at all. (Can he act with judgement/wisdom?) Galina seems to have both in abundance, despite her lack of life experience.
